Hey my cute lil cherries 🍒

Here is chap 5

Avinash instantly threw the mobile on the bed, covering his mouth with both hands in complete horror.

A follow request to Tanu...

"Ye kya hua, kab hua, kese hua!?" He quickly grabbed the mobile again, processing what to do now.

"Unfollow kar du? Per dekh liya hoga to? Kya sochengi? Ab kya karuuuu." He cried out, dropping onto the bed, covering his face with a cushion and groaning.

CHAUHAN HOUSE,

Kiara and Tanu were still at Isha's place.

The three girls were chitchatting about random stuff. Isha was talking about how pretty those heels were, Tanu was sharing about her new kurti she made from scratch, showing the pic she just uploaded wearing that kurti. Kiara was nodding now and then.

"U know ye kurti kitni pretty turned out hui hai!!" Tanu beamed with excitement, scrolling through the viewers of her post.

A notification popped up.

She opened the notification section and froze.

Completely still for a moment. Her expressions were a mixture of disbelief, thrill, excitement, and happiness.

"Yaayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!" She shouted, standing up on the bed itself.

"Areyy didi, kya kar rahi ho? gir jaogi." Isha said, grabbing her hand and dragging her to make her sit.

"Kya hua bolo toh?" Kiara asked curiously.

"Chikne ne muje follow kiyaaaaaa" Tanu announced, dancing in excitement.

"Heinnnn" Kiara replied in utter disbelief. "Ye kese hua bhai" she added, still suspicious.

"Kya kese hua. Hamari Tanu di hai hi itni sundar" Isha encouraged Tanu, who was looking like she would explode with happiness.

"Bhai ab maze hi maze hongeee" Tanu beamed with joy.

"Nikal padi apki to" Isha chimed in.

"Abe gadhiyo. follow kiya hai, shadi ke liye propose nahi" Kiara gave the reality check, receiving glares from Tanu and Isha.

"Acha pehle use follow back to do" Kiara gestured towards the mobile screen.

"Areyy haaa. Ruk ruk " Tanu replied, quickly grabbing her mobile and clicking the follow back button.

"Ab dekhte hai aage kya hota hai" Isha declared.

Ayaan hopped off his bike, straightening his posture before walking towards the café with ease.

As he entered, his gaze fell on a girl dressed in high-waisted jeans with an off-shoulder crop top, her hair tied up in a ponytail, sitting at a corner table. Priti. The one who asked him out.

Her eyes were shining with a kind of spark that comes from confidence. As soon as she caught sight of him, she waved, smiling softly but boldly.

He waved back, walking towards the table.

"Hey, handsome!" She greeted softly.

"Hey pretty lady" he replied, slipping onto the chair opposite her.

He was dressed in a casual fit: a half-zip sweater with a collared neck and striped pattern, paired with dark grey washed denim jeans. His outfit was casual but cool enough to display his carefree personality.

"Wassup!" He asked.

"All good. What about you?" She replied, leaning forward a little, placing her chin on her palm.

"Same here" he replied with a shrug.

The waiter approached with a small smile. "What would you like to order, sir, ma'am?" he asked politely.

"I'll take an espresso. And you?" He turned to Priti.

"Iced coffee" she replied.

"Okay, one espresso and an iced coffee. Anything else?" the waiter enquired.

"No, that's it for now" he replied.

Priti’s eyes were glued to Ayaan from the moment he entered the cafĂ©.

"Kya hua?" He asked, his lips carrying a small smile, clearly knowing the effect he was having on her.

"Kuch nahi." She replied, quickly looking away with a chuckle.

The date was going perfectly fine. She was sweet, straightforward, and mainly, visibly interested.

"By the way, konse college me?" He asked casually, sipping his coffee.

She placed her cup down before speaking. "H.K. college me admission liya hai. Abhi join nahi kiya coz muje kal Mumbai ke liye nikalna hai. Wapas aate aate lagbhag 2 mahine lag jaenge."

"H.K? Me bhi wahi padhta hu," he said. "But 2 mahine classes miss ho jayegi," he added thoughtfully.

"Ohh tum bhi H.K me ho? That's great. It'll be fun spending more time with you." She smiled broadly.

"Haa classes to miss hogi but principal sir se baat ho gayi hai. Urgent kaam hai to jana padega." She replied with a helpless smile.

"But I'll catch up." She added softly.

"Ohh, okay." He nodded.

The atmosphere was soft and cosy.

After having coffee and paying the bill, they exited the café, walking down the street.

The street was calm, with only the sound of distant passing vehicles and dogs barking.

"So, how was the date?" she asked, turning to him slightly.

"Great," he replied, stopping in his tracks and turning to her.

"Good to know," she said softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Aao me tumhe chodd deta hu," he offered, moving towards his bike.

"Nahi nahi. Me chali jaungi. Thank you," she said sweetly.

Everything was perfect — too perfect.

Kiara, Tanu, and Isha were walking down the street on their way to the ice cream parlour near Isha's house.

And coincidentally, the café was in the same area.

"Sab aane ke kya jarurat thi, ek aake le je jate. Teeno chal pade" Kiara complained, pouting slightly.

Ayaan and Priti were bidding goodbye when suddenly Priti covered one eye.

"owww, aaa" she cried out.

"Arey kya hua?" he asked worriedly.

"Kuch, kuch chala gaya yaar eye me," she replied, jerking one hand while covering her eye with the other.

He quickly stepped forward, examining her eye. Their bodies were not too close, but closer than casual.

The three girls were still walking and giggling about something. Suddenly, Isha’s eyes caught the sight. She quickly shook Tanu’s arm.

"vo dekho! Arey udher dekhoo" Isha hissed.

Tanu and Kiara stopped, raising their brows and following Isha’s gaze.

There stood Ayaan and Priti. Standing close. From the angle the girls were standing, it seemed completely opposite from what was actually going on.

"Ye to vo Ayaan hai na?" Isha asked.

"Haa lag to wahi raha hai" Tanu replied, narrowing her eyes.

"Cheeeee! Ye kya kar raha hai" Kiara scrunched her face.

"Tuje kya lagta hai. Jo dikh raha wahi kar raha hai" Isha replied.

"Wahh, kya bold banda hai bhai. Matlab bich sadak pe kissing." Tanu clapped, quite impressed.

"Kese kese log hote hai" Kiara muttered.

"Ghar to chale jate" Isha said.

"Arey himmat chahiye itne ke liye bhi" Tanu added, nodding slightly.

"Kya yaar aap dono bhi. Chalo chup chap" Kiara complained, walking ahead, muttering something unrecognisable.

On the other side, Ayaan was blowing into Priti’s eye to ease the irritation, unaware of the misunderstanding.

"Ab kesa hai?" He asked, stepping back.

"Better" she replied with a warm smile. "thank you."

"You are welcome" he replied.

But somewhere, something felt off about this date. But what? Priti was pretty, sweet, interested. So what was missing?

Just then, his gaze shifted and caught sight of Kiara walking ahead with Isha and Tanu. The moment his eyes caught her, his heart did something unexpected , something like a flip. Something in his mind clicked.

‘Why does seeing her make me forget what I was thinking, where I was, what I was doing?’ he thought, shaking his head to get out of the bubble.

‘Why does it feel wrong being with Priti, going on a date? What am I feeling?’ His mind pooled with thoughts.

"Kya hua?" Priti observed the change in his expression.

"Huh?" He shifted his gaze back to Priti.

"oh, kuch nahi vo me..." he stopped mid-sentence, forming the right words.

"Kuch baat hai kya?" She asked, sensing tension in his voice.

"Is it about the date?" She asked without hesitation, her expression soft and calm.

"Actually..." he started but wasn’t able to pour out the inner tornado.

"It's okay Ayaan. I understand. I saw you staring that girl over there," she pointed at Kiara, who was a little far now.

"She is pretty," Priti smiled genuinely.

"It's not what you are thinking. I-" he blurted out, but Priti raised her hand.

"Arey Arey shant. Itna hadbada kyu rahe. I saw the spark in your eyes," she commented with a soft chuckle.

"Lagta hai tum abhi tak samaj nahi paye ho," she added.

"Kya matlab?" His brows knitted in confusion.

"Kuch nahi. Dheere dheere khud samaj jaoge. Chalo vo chodo, we can be friends right?" She extended her hand.

"Ofcourse pretty lady," he shook her hand, earning a chuckle from her.

With that, they parted ways.

Back at Chauhan house

Tanu and Kiara were on their way home after a good girlies session at Isha’s place.

As they reached home, they were welcomed by an extremely sweet voice,

"aa gayi meri dono maharaniya." Gauri remarked with sarcasm.

"Padharo" she added with firm expressions.

"Vo mammy.." Kiara started, but Gauri interrupted her.

"meko tum logo ke waha rehne se koi preshani nahi hai. Muje bass Piyali bhabhi ki chinta hoti hai. Kese tum jese janwaro ko shambhalti hogi bechari" Gauri shook her head.

"Arey yaar mammy, ek chance nahi chodte hame roast karne ka" Tanu complained while sitting on the couch, pouting slightly.

Just then, Keshav entered the house with a tired but real smile, exhaustion weighing on his shoulders.

"Kese ho mere bacho aur mere bacho ki pyari maa" he teased, approaching them with a soft, playful smile.

"Ham thik hai papa. Ap bataiye" Kiara replied.

"Ha, kesa tha aj ka din" Tanu added.

"Me bhi badhiya aur din bhi acha tha," he said, patting their heads.

"Aap bataiye meri pyari bachiyo ki pyari maa," he turned to Gauri.

"Ham bhi badhiya meri jangli bachiyo ke papa," she replied with a chuckle.

"Yaar mamyyyy" Tanu and Kiara whined together.

"Kyu meri in phool jesi bachiyo ko jangli kehti hu" he asked.

"meri pyari bachiyo ko jangli na kahe aap" he added, ruffling Tanu’s hair lightly.

"Bas bas. Agar aap logo ka ye meelap ho gya ho to khana kha le?" Gauri said, walking towards the kitchen with a smile.

Morning,

Isha entered the classroom with Kiara. The morning sun cast a soft glow in the sky. Sunlight flowed like a river through the windows.

"Us sirfire insaan ki to bent baja dungi me. Meri heels kharab ki thi na usne" she muttered, sitting on the bench, planning something fishy.

Kiara observed her expressions.

"firse tamasha hone wala hai" she muttered, shaking her head.

Just then, the three boys entered the class, walking towards the last row.

Yuvraj saw Isha rolling her eyes and scoffed. His expression changed from casual to cold within seconds.

"Is tikhi chatni ka har din barbad na kiya mene to dekhna" he murmured, settling on the bench.

"Bhai tuje us se itni nafrat kyu hai?" Ayaan asked curiously.

"Muje us jesi ladkiyon se nafrat hai. Sara din chapad chapad. Samjti kya hai apne aap ko. I just hate them. Hate HER." He said, jaw clenched.

"Chodd bhai, kyu ungli kar raha hai?" Avinash smacked Ayaan’s head.

"ungli kaha kar raha. Me to bas puch raha tha. And anyway, ungli karni bhi hogi to iske kyu karunga, gay thodi hu" Ayaan replied smugly, earning a disgusted look from Avinash and a punch from Yuvraj.

The professor entered, and the lecture began.

During the lecture, Kiara caught Ayaan’s gaze. He quickly looked away at the board. She remembered yesterday’s scene with the girl and gave him a deadpan look.

"Ise konsa bhoot lag gaya" he muttered, shrugging.

As the language class ended, students left for their sections.

Isha and Kiara walked towards their section.

Suddenly, Isha’s skirt got stuck from behind. She turned and found Yuvraj standing there, his foot on her skirt, hands in his pockets, a sly smile on his face.

"Ye kya battamizi hai. Hatto" she frowned, trying to free her skirt.

"Sorry. My legs are frozen. They can't move." He shrugged lightly, making a helpless face.

"Abe oye saste circus ke do kodi ke joker. Hatto meri skirt se" she snapped.

"Bola na, i can't"

"Khud try kar lo" he replied calmly, folding his arms across chest.

The classroom was nearly empty, with only a few students watching the drama.

Kiara shook her head and walked out,

"ho jaye tab aa jana".

Ayaan and Avinash stood there, of course enjoying the drama.

"Pagal ho kya. Oh sorry, vo to already prove ho chuka hai na"

"Hattoo" she tried again.

"Try it yourself na. Sachi i can't move" gestured her to go ahead.

"Teri sans ki ankh. Bola hatt. Samaj nahi aata" she was visible irritated.

"Areyyy, meri sasu maa ko kyu toda" he replied, mock offenced.

"Bas ho gya ha. Ab hatt jao"

"Areyyy tikhi chatni, abhi to bola i can't."

She kicked him hard on the shin. He didn’t move an inch, only smirked.

Her brows knitted in irritation.

"Abee hatttt naaa"

She kicked him again. Still, he didn’t budge.

But suddenly, his expression changed. His eyes widened.

"Mammmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"
